Start streaming

NTV is in early access and stream keys are issued by hand right now — deliberately, so the first creators get set up properly rather than dumped into a signup form.

1 · Get a key

Message NYPTID and you'll get a channel name and a stream key. One key per channel; it can be revoked and reissued any time.

2 · Point OBS at NTV

Settings → Stream → Service: Custom

Server: rtmp://ntv.nyptid.com:1935/live
Stream key: yourchannel?user=yourchannel&pass=YOUR_KEY

3 · Encoder settings that work

Keyframe interval: 2 seconds. Not 0 / auto. Segments are cut on keyframes; a long GOP breaks playback.
Bitrate: 6000 kbps or less for 1080p60. Higher just costs bandwidth without looking better.
Profile: high, tune: zerolatency.
